*All heights per NBA Draft combine are without shoes

1. Cooper Flagg | F | Duke

Height 6’7.75″ | Weight 221 | Wingspan 7’0″ | Age 18.5

Key Stats: 19.2 PPG, 48.1 FG%, 38.5 3P%, 7.5 REB, 4.2 AST, 1.4 STL, 1.4 BLK

Outlook

Flagg is an all-around player who projects as a multiple time All-Star with upside as upside as a multiple time All-NBA player. While he might not MVP upside, he will immediately contribute to whichever team drafts him and fit into almost any scheme.

Strengths

  • All-around player on both sides of the ball
  • NBA ready body and mind
  • Can act as a secondary playmaker, comfortable with the ball in his hands
  • Versatile defender who gets in passing lanes and can guard the post

Weaknesses

  • Shot-making during crunch time. Had multiple late clock and clutch time gaffs for Duke.

2. Dylan Harper | G/F | Rutgers

Height 6’4.5″ | Weight 213 | Wingspan 6’10.5″ | Age 19.3

Key Stats: 19.4 PTS, 4.6 REB, 4 AST, 48.4 FG%, 33.3 3P%

Outlook

Harper can be a primary or secondary playmaker at the next level, with solid size for the role. His controlled pace and ability to use his size remind me of a mini Cade Cunningham. Expect him to be a lead who can run an offense, he’ll have to improve his pull-up shooting.

Strengths

  • Can run an offense
  • Controlled pace, plays with patience
  • Good efficiency from the field given his role and youth

Weaknesses

  • Inconsistent shooter
  • Not a great off-ball defender
  • Led losing Rutgers team (15-17) which had top talent

3. Kon Knueppel | G | Duke

Height 6’5″ | Weight 219 | Wingspan 6’6.25″ | Age 19.9

Key Stats:

Outlook

Knueppel might not be the sexy athlete we’re used to for a high draft pick, but his top of the line shooting and basketball IQ make him an automatic fit for any NBA team. High floor player who will play in the league for years and contribute to winning.

Strengths

  • Knock down catch and shoot
  • High basketball IQ
  • Makes the quick extra pass
  • Willing and able defender

Weaknesses

  • Lack of athleticism
  • Decent on defense in college, how will he handle NBA level athletes?

4. Ace Bailey | F | Rutgers

Height 6’7.5″ | Weight 202 | Wingspan 7’0.5″ | Age 18.9

Key Stats: 17.6 PTS, 7.2 REB, 46 FG%, 34.6 3P%, 1.0 STL, 1.3 BLK, 2.0 TOV

Outlook

Ace Bailey might have the most talent outside of Cooper Flagg in the entire draft. It will all come down to his maturity. So far, not so good as the pre-draft process has exposed either Bailey or his agent’s folly. These actions paired with his negative AST/TOV have me questioning whether he has the maturity to succeed at the next level, but the talent is undeniable.

Strengths

  • Confident
  • Can hit tough contested shots
  • Great size/length
  • High potential as stretch 4
  • Shot with solid efficiency
  • Defensive upside due to size/length (2.3 STOCKS)

Weaknesses

  • Negative AST/TOV ratio (1.3/2.0)
  • Predraft nonsense – skipping almost all workouts

5. Tre Johnson | G/F | Texas

Height 6’4.75″ | Weight 190 | Wingspan 6’10.25″ | Age 19.3

Key Stats: 19.9 PTS, 39.7 3P%, 87.1 FT%

Outlook

Johnson is what NBA Jam creators had in mind. In some stretches of the game he can completely catch fire and go on personal runs.

Strengths

  • Great contested shooter
  • Can create his own shots and heat up in a hurry
  • Positive AST/TOV ratio (2.7/1.8)

  • Weaknesses
  • Too willing to settle for contested jumpers
  • Complacent defender

6. V.J. Edgecombe | G | Baylor

Height 6’4″ | Weight 193 | Wingspan 6’7.5″ | Age 19.9

Key Stats: 15 PTS, 5.6 REB, 3.2 AST, 2.1 STL

Outlook

Edgecombe is one of the most explosive athletes in the draft and a menace in transition and passing lanes. His natural lack of feel on offense in halfcourt sets could limit his upside.

Strengths

  • Explosive athlete
  • Premier transition finisher, with space
  • High defensive upside

Weaknesses

  • Poor finisher at the rim in halfcourt
  • Decent, but not inspiring shooter (34 3P%)
  • Not sold on his role on offense, not a creator

7. Jeremiah Fears | G | Oklahoma

Height 6’2.5″ | Weight 179 | Wingspan 6’5.25″ | Age 18.7

Key Stats: 17.1 PTS, 43.4 FG%, 28.4 3P%, 85.1 FT%, 4.1 REB, 4.1 AST, 3.4 TOV, 1.6 STL

Outlook

Fears is one of the most intriguing players in the draft. Of the top pool of talent he is one of the youngest after declaring for Oklahoma a year early.

Strengths

  • Fearless and creative shot creator
  • Put up big counting stats across the board

Weaknesses

  • A bit undersized, might limit his upside
  • High turnover number
  • Poor efficiency from the field and three

8. Thomas Sorber | F/C | Georgetown

Height 6’9.25″ | Weight 262 | Wingspan 7’6″ | Age 19.5

Key Stats: 14.5 PTS, 8.5 REB, 2.4 AST, 1.5 STL, 2.0 BLK

Outlook

Sorber was somewhat of a surprise throughout the year and was a bright spot on a Georgetown team that surprised with a winning record this year. To me he is being overlooked late in the draft process and can be a contributing big man in the league.

Strengths

  • Versatile offensive game, fluid
  • Can score in the post, runs the floor
  • Good defensive stats (3.5 STOCKS)

Weaknesses

  • Can’t shoot from three
  • Not the most explosive

9. Derik Queen | F/C | Maryland

Height 6’9.25″ | Weight 247 | Wingspan 7’0.5″ | Age 20.5

Key Stats: 16.5 PTS, 9 REB, 1.1 STL, 1.1 BLK

Outlook

Queen is best known for his game winner to bring Maryland to the Final Four. He’s a crafty offensive big man who will need to play defense to prove he belongs in the NBA.

Strengths

  • Offensively gifted big man
  • Can face up and post up to create offense

Weaknesses

  • Not a rim protector, can he defend power forwards?
  • Lack of outside shooting

10. Liam McNeely | G/F | UConn

Height 6’6.75″ | Weight 214 | Wingspan 6’8.5″ | Age 19.7

Key Stats: 14.5 PTS, 38.1 FG%, 31.7 3P%6 REB, 2.3 AST, 1.9 TOV

Outlook

McNeeley got hurt with a high ankle sprain which limited him in the second half of the season and hurt his efficiency numbers. Given the turnover at UConn he was highly relied up on as a primary playmaker as a freshman. The numbers don’t tell the story of a versatile offensive player with good size who can thrive as stretch 4 in the NBA

Strengths

  • Good size for the wing position
  • Playmaking instincts
  • Good shot form
  • Scoring upside (38 PTS @ Creighton)

Weaknesses

  • Poor efficiency at UConn
  • Athletic/strong enough to guard NBA wings/forwards?

11. Egor Demin | G/F | BYU

Height 6’6.75″ | Weight 214 | Wingspan 6’8.5″ | Age 19.7

Key Stats: 10.6 PTS, 41.2 FG%, 27.3 3P%, 3.9 REB, 5.5 AST, 2.9 TOV

Outlook

Demin is one of the most intriguing players in this draft, with a similar profile as Josh Giddey. High upside due to his size and passing ability, but

Strengths

  • Good passer for his size
  • Runs a good pick and roll

Weaknesses

  • Poor shooting for a guard
  • Despite being a good passer, also had high turnovers

12. Khaman Malauch | C | Duke

Height 7’0.75″ | Weight 252 | Wingspan 7’6.75″ | Age 18.8

Key Stats: 8.6 PTS, 71.2 FG%, 6.6 REB, 1.3 BLK

Outlook

One of the largest and youngest players in the draft. Malauch was a bit overshadowed by Flagg and Knueppel but was an important part of Duke’s run to the Final Four with his defense and rebounding.

Strengths

  • Rim protector
  • High FG%
  • Showed ability to rim run and finish in the lane

Weaknesses

  • Doesn’t yet have the best instincts, natural feel

13. Carter Bryant | F | Arizona

Height 6’6.5″ | Weight 214 | Wingspan 6’11.75″ | Age 19.6

Key Stats: 6.5 PTS, 46 FG%, 37.1 3P%, 4.1 REB

Outlook

Bryant didn’t get many minutes (19.1 MPG) with Arizona last year, but did a lot with them. He reminds me of Jalen Johnson with his size, athleticism and shot making ability. Should have a place in the league for years, despite limited sample size at Arizona.

Strengths

  • Athleticism
  • Shot making off catch and in corner
  • Finish in transition and in the lane with space

Weaknesses

  • Small sample size at Arizona
  • Won’t create his own offense
14. Walter Clayton Jr | G | Florida

Height 6’2″ | Weight 199 | Wingspan 6’4″ | Age 22.3

Key Stats: 18.3 PTS, 44.8 FG%, 38.6 3P%, 3.7 REB, 4.2 AST

Outlook

Clayton was one of the most outstanding players in the NCAA tournament and in the season last year. Throughout the tournament he displayed elite clutch shotmaking and helped propel

Strengths

  • Clutch shot making
  • Great scorer and efficient
  • Displayed ability to make right read and pass

Weaknesses

  • Undersized for a scoring guard at the next level
  • Who can he defend at the next level other than point guards?
